It's taken us a while to get moving this year but we've now got over 500 free or very cheap events in our listings, which for this time of year ain't bad.

Truth is there's not a huge amount going on in the early days of January, although you can catch an Ice Sculpting Festival at Canary Wharf this weekend.

News of this year's free festivals is starting to filter out, the first we've found so far is Maslenitsa, on February 7th,  We can also reveal that Camden Green Fair is set to make a welcome return this June.
