Well it's cold and there's really not much happening at this time of year but we'll plough on regardless. Mutate Britain deserves another plug, you can catch this exhibition, put together largely by the Mutoid Waste Company, every weekend until Christmas.
Talking of the weather, the National Climate March takes place on Saturday where they might bump into the World Zombie Day Christmas Crawl!
The London Museum has an exhibition on Homelessness in the Capital beginning this week whilst at the Imperial War Museum they'll be asking Santa vs Stalin over the weekend. We can guess who'd win in a fight.
The Hackney Ocean is finally being put to good use, playing host to the Pig's Ear Beer and Cider Festival all week. It's free from noon on Friday and only £3 the rest of the time.
J K Rowling's got a new book coming out and the bookshops are falling over themselves to celebrate, giving kids the chance to stay up all night to buy a copy, which is kind of them.
The shopping theme continues in the West End where Regents and Oxford Street will be free of traffic over the weekend with the promise of VIP treats, live music and celebrity appearances. Yay!
There's a free theatre performance at Liverpool Street on Tuesday (2nd) but be quick, you have to book. The performance focusses on children arriving in Britain after fleeing the Nazis, so it's kinda ironic that just down the road a demonstration is being held on the same day highlighting Britain's current treatment of refugees.
Whitechapel Anarchist Group launch a newsheet on Sunday at Bricklane Market followed by a free film screening at LARC.
Finally we'd like to say thanks to Peter Williams and lucidlondon for the photos at the top of the page. We like 'em lots.
